Corporate Portraiture in London

Who says that corporate portraiture has to take place in an office? Or even a typical business setting? Perhaps that was the way things used to be done. But times have changed and an environment corporate portrait photoshoot is an exciting development.

For too long, websites’ about pages have been dull spaces indeed. Consisting mostly of a few boring headshots and some hyperbole about the people featured. But now, people want connection with the people they are dealing with. And authenticity in their relationships. We like to have a glimpse of the person behind the image, not just a CV and bland portrait.

the Barbican and surrounding areas is the perfect location for corporate portraiture.

So one way I like to achieve this is by getting my corporate portraiture clients out of the office. Whether in the environs of their office or somewhere that represents their values. Or just makes a great location for a portrait. This brings a whole new dimension to the portraits. And looks bloody marvellous too, as you can see from this series of images of the principals of a small company taken at the Barbican and nearby.

Shooting outdoors as with this shoot like this also neatly solves a problem that many companies face post-pandemic: namely that they don’t have offices full of people anymore. Many companies chose to rid themselves of expensive premises and go to a scaled down, working from home model. And this also works for companies who aren’t headquartered in London but for whom London is a convenient convergence point.

And the Barbican is just one super photoshoot location

So whether you would like to bring some personality to your corporate portraits, or simply lack the office space to host a location shoot, consider taking it to the street with a great corporate photoshoot on location.

Outdoor corporate portraiture also allows for a lot of variety in your headshots. Read here to understand why that is so important.

If you are ready to invest in updated corporate portraits whether in your office, on location or in my West London studio, I would love to help.
