This gorgeous family came to me recently for a Family Studio Portrait Photoshoot in my West London studio. And they really brought their A game. Arriving fully prepared, with well thought out changes of clothes and a willing attitude. All of which makes for an excellent session…

The family consists of mother and father, a charming daughter on the cusp of being a teenager and cherubic twin babies. As it happens, they had won a Family Studio Portrait photoshoot in my West London studio in a fundraising auction for Great Ormond Street Hospital.  So it felt appropriate to photograph such a gorgeous young family in this context.

First, the family changed into casual clothing and I photographed them individually, in different groupings, and all together. Then, we had another change of clothes into something a bit dressier and shot a few more portraits. Finally, they changed into the finery of the Indian subcontinent and more portraits which absolutely sing with colour. Strong colours like this make such a massive visual impact, as I am sure you will agree…

Firstly, the photographer have the set up for teh shot right. It might be that they need to move some furniture, set up a backdrop, reposition items which might be in the way, etc. 

Next the phographer must get the client to relax. Only when they are feeling confident and comfortable in their skin will it be possible to get a great executive headshot.
