Family Photoshoot on Location

I recently had the great pleasure of creating a wonderful series of teenage portraits during a family photoshoot at their home in sunny Hampshire. As a West London Family Photographer, this made a change from my frequent work in my West London Studio and local London Parks.

 

Gorgeous Family Photoshoot

The family comprises four gorgeous children ranging from 20 down to 13. I had photographed the family 6 years previously and it always a great compliment to be asked back to photograph a family again, to witness and capture how the children have changed and grown up so quickly.

Due to it being a beautiful we captured a variety of portraits outside. Usually, I prefer the challenge of shooting in the great outdoors to the more controlled situation of my West London studio. I find it encourages more dynamism in my images. Also, where children and teens are concerned, it feels less formal and allows them to be freer and more expressive. When my subjects are relaxed, it truly results in great photographs.

The informality of my shoots really shows in the images below. Everybody is naturally smiling. There are no ‘say cheese’ fake smiles from me. Instead we just have a giggle, which results in natural smiles.

 

But what’s even more special is the connection between the children in the family is so obvious. And that is precious indeed.
