The year has kick started with the SWPP convention but this year was a completely different experience for me and instead of attending seminars and visiting the trade show I was working at the trade show with Jerry & Melissa Ghionis selling the icelight and picpockets. The stand was buzzing for a a full 3 days and the awesome icelight caused an enormous sensation and sold like hot cakes.
Its always a wonderful treat catching up with my favourite photographer girlfriends and I loved having Gisela Olsson and Jaz Ampaw Farr staying with me for the duration of the show and Abby Wilkes for a night. I feel blessed having these lovely ladies in my life!
The SWPP convention is always a great way to start the year and is a wonderful boost of inspiration for the year ahead.
One of my highlights of the year has been Faye and Trevor Yerbury spending a day with me shooting. Every year I like to improve and develop my photography and always look to do some form of training. I was completely delighted and surprised when Faye and Trevor agreed to come to my home studio after SWPP and work with me for a day. It was a truly wonderful and rewarding experience having these 2 highly regarded, talented photographers in my own space and helping me to see how best to use the available light.
Below are a couple of my favourite photographs from the day. I like how they are abstract and discreet and I am keen to develop a fine art element to my “Quintessential Woman” portraits.
Stunning as always!
